Sausalito Artist Gary Brandolino unveils his latest technique in a 30-piece, multi-media exhibit called, “Structures & Forms.” Inspired by forms in nature as well as architecture, the exhibit represents a compilation of four years of work with an emphasis on two-dimensional color and texture.

“These abstract seascapes, landscapes and architectural forms are a temporary departure from my three-dimensional pieces,” said Gary Brandolino, “But the techniques that I use with those mediums, such as finishing ceramic surfaces with tinting or staining, have been worked into the wood medium, This series reflects my beliefs in the need for tranquility, contemplation and spiritual grounding in life.”

Elements I used with these pieces include pastel tints, tints mixed with polyurethane, shellac, acrylic paints, Gesso and wood stains.
